Welcome everyone, to our first teaser trailer. No, no gameplay footage, but how is that different from anyone else?

So, it turns out that the gaming industry is really hard to get into. Regardless of which area you want to get into, it’s tough.

So we are looking to just make our own thing here at the Pillbox. Expect the site to change. This isn’t our permanent look. We are going to switch things up. We also aren’t just going to post news about our stuff. Want to know what three guys who love to game think about certain things? Check here. Or email us with something you want to hear about. The industry has ton of stuff going on, from legal issues to gameplay innovations and stories that may or may not be compelling.

Here at Pillbox Studios, we are going to work to make sure that we are different. We are going to tell you what we think. We won’t be all that nice about things that are bad. We won’t suck up to anyone. We will step on toes, I’m sure (although we won’t go out of our way to do so). Our games will be stylish, fun and accessible.

As far as games go, where to start? Lots of games are playable, but not in a fun way. Here at the pill’, we hope to change that. We want to make something simple and fun, so that anyone can pick it up and play it. And that they will want to play it. Sort of like a Tiger hand-held from back in the day, but with color this time. And a story.

Ah yes, the story. That’s something to talk about. Some games have great stories, and some suck. They know who they are. I’ve played bad games for good stories (Advent Rising–lots of glitchiness, amazing story by Orson Scott Card), but I have a hard time thinking of a good game with a bad story that I finished. We plan on making a game that a story you want to finish, with characters you despise and others that you connect with.

That’s our goal, in short. Or not so short. We’ve spent a lot of time talking about this stuff. We’ve looked up what other people want in a game. We are going to make some of that happen. We are excited, and you should be too. Something new is coming, and it’s coming from Pillbox Studios.
